John Sterling
Chief Executive Officer
As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Synch-Solutions, John D. Sterling has synthesized business prowess, information technology acumen and market specification to create a premier, Chicago-based business with national influence. Since its inception, Synch-Solutions has continually strengthened its market positioning by aligning its service offerings with client demand, and securing and retaining some of the industry's top talent – all the while elevating value for its customers. Under Mr. Sterling’s leadership, Synch-Solutions has experienced double-digit growth in four of the last five years. Most importantly, his commitment to service excellence allows Synch-Solutions to maintain its notoriety as a 100% client-referenceable organization.
Don Duszynski
Chief Operating Officer
Don Duszynski joined Synch-Solutions in 2006. Prior to this, he served as Vice President of PeopleSoft Hosting, where he had responsibility for sales, services and customer satisfaction for North America, as well as the creation of hosting methods and practices for PeopleSoft globally. He was instrumental in PeopleSoft Hosting’s successful transition to Oracle On-Demand in 2005.
Prior to PeopleSoft Hosting, Don led the company’s Midwest Region team in the delivery of consulting and education services to more than 700 PeopleSoft and JD Edwards customers, averaging more than $100 million in revenue for four consecutive years. He joined PeopleSoft in March 1995 as Regional Vice President for Customer Service, where he managed the growth of the business from 15 employees to 125. Subsequently, he contributed in services leadership positions in the highest growth areas of PeopleSoft, including National Vice President of Mid-Market Services and Vice President of Customer Service for the Manufacturing Business Unit.
Prior to joining PeopleSoft, Don was a Product Manager, Financials for Systems Software Associates (SSA). He has more than 20 years of experience in the software and consulting industries and also has held a senior management position with Global Software, was a tax professional for KPMG, and performed financial systems consulting for Deloitte and Touche.
Don holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting from Loyola University of Chicago. He is a frequent seminar lecturer and is member of the Illinois CPA Society.
Tony Ford
Vice President, Sales
Tony Ford joined Synch-Solutions in 2007. Prior to this, he served as Enterprise Solutions Vice President with Oracle Consulting. In this role, he was responsible for developing and closing business, managing profitability and quality for a portfolio of engagements, and providing executive leadership.
Prior to his role as Enterprise Solutions Vice President, Tony led the Technology Consulting practice for Oracle Consulting’s North Central Region. This practice included six directors and over seventy consultants engaged in selling, managing and delivering Oracle ERP, CRM and technology implementation projects and support services. In his four year tenure as practice leader, he grew revenues to $26 million, bringing in $12 million in sales in his final year in the role. Tony joined Oracle Consulting in 1994 as a Managing Principal and, during his twelve (12) years with the company, was promoted to Practice Manager, Director, Senior Director and ultimately to Vice President.
Tony has extensive technology solutions sales, design and management experience in manufacturing, financials services, and pharmaceutical industries. He also has experience in healthcare and in the public sector.
Prior to joining Oracle Consulting, Tony spent four years as Manager of Database Administration for G.D. Searle & Company and one year at Kraft Foods. He also spent four years as a Consulting Manager/Senior Consultant at KPMG Peat Marwick. He has more than 20 years of experience in the software and consulting industry.
Tony holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas. He is active in his community and loves working with youth organizations. He resides in Chicago with his wife and four children.
Michael Bailey
Director, Federal Practice
Michael Bailey joined Synch-Solutions in 2002. After successfully managing several client accounts for Synch-Solutions, Michael has focused his career on servicing the Federal Government sector of the company’s business, and is dedicated to meeting their business and technology objectives.
Previously, Michael worked in IBM’s Global Services Division, providing technology and business operations solutions for clients primarily in the insurance and banking industries. Michael started his career as an applications developer, eventually becoming Director of Commercial and Personal Line Information Systems at CNA Insurance. He brings nearly 30 years experience in technology organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses.
Michael continues to contribute to the definition and management of business development, delivery, and operations functions for Synch-Solutions.
Carl H. Davis II
Director, Human Capital
Carl H. Davis joined Synch-Solutions in 2007. Prior to this Carl served as Manager of Recruitment for Blackwell Consulting Services, where he re-engineered the recruitment process, hired and trained several technical recruiters, and developed a strong recruitment engine that supported three hundred technology professionals.
Before working for Blackwell Consulting, Carl was the recruitment manager at the CTA, and was instrumental in re-engineering a failing technology recruitment practice. He was a project manager for an Oracle migration of e-recruitment, HRMS and 11i financials implementation. Carl led the reorganization and was solely responsible for recruiting and securing 25 ERP/Oracle professionals. Prior to his work with the CTA, Carl founded and presided over the Davis Group, an IT Consulting firm specializing in e-learning development, application development and ERP implementations.
Carl has 20 years experience in sales and senior management, with 13 of those years in IT recruiting management. Carl holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Law from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Paul Davis
Director, Enterprise Solutions
Paul Davis joined Synch-Solutions after working 11 years at PeopleSoft/Oracle. Paul has more than 20 years of experience in package software and implementation services, including 15 years of experience with government and education industry customers. Paul has experience in a wide range of product suites including financial, human resources, supply chain, CRM, and data warehouse applications. He has managed multiple PeopleSoft and JD Edwards implementations for a wide array of businesses. At PeopleSoft, Paul held leadership roles in account/client management, program/project management, service delivery, and application solution centers. Paul’s tenure included development of PeopleSoft Compass implementation methodology, creation of the package service organization, and responsibility for a portfolio of projects managed through the Application Solution Center (a fixed scope, fixed price implementation offering).
Prior to PeopleSoft, Paul spent 10 years with American Management Systems (AMS). He started his IT career as a programmer/analyst and progressed into project management roles with AMS. Paul managed multiple state-wide financial system implementations and worked on many other state and local government implementations, primarily for financial packaged software.
Paul holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Management and Computer Science from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL.
Felicia Fron
Director, Human Resources
Felicia Fron joined Synch-Solutions in 2006. Prior to this, she served as Manager of Human Resources at Triad Foods Group, where she was responsible for employee relations, recruitment, performance management, payroll, employee benefits, legal consultation and more.
Felicia has more than 17 years of work experience, with strong leadership skills in the areas of human resources and employee relations. Her exceptional recruitment and management skills ensure Synch-Solutions continues to hire and maintain quality professionals.
Felicia holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
Deborah Henderson
Enterprise Project Manager
Deborah Henderson joined Synch-Solutions in 2007 after working for over 8 years at PeopleSoft/Oracle. She has more than 20 years of experience in software services, including over 12 years working with education and government industry customers. Deborah has experience with a wide range of product suites including Financials, Human Capital Management, Campus Community and CRM applications. At PeopleSoft she was a Principle Account Executive responsible for strategic planning, project management, and overall customer success for the National Accounts Program. Also in Deborah’s tenure, she held the position of Senior Consulting Practice Manager for PeopleSoft Global Services where she successfully built several service teams.
Prior to joining PeopleSoft, Deborah was the Controller for The Teacher’s Academy for Math and Science and also for the YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago. She has several years experience in manufacturing and healthcare industries and has performed financial systems consulting for Deloitte & Touche.
Deborah holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from DePaul University. She is a certified Project Management Professional.
Carol Morken
Director, Marketing
Carol Morken joined Synch-Solutions in 2006. Prior to this, she served as Vice President, Assessment Products Group for the Americas Region of SHL, a world leader in human resources assessment and recruiting workflow solutions. While at SHL, Carol managed all functions related to development and delivery of web-based solutions designed to improve hiring and development decisions, along with the marketing function for the Americas region.
Prior to joining SHL, Carol ran her own marketing consulting business for several years, working with enterprise technology companies, as well as firms across additional industries, to develop strategic marketing plans, proposals and collateral. She also planned events and conducted marketing research.
From 1997 to 2001, Carol led marketing for Empirical Solutions, an enterprise technology consulting firm with expertise in the Baan ERP system. During these years, Carol launched a suite of Baan-integrated e-commerce solutions, and marketed ERP implementation and outsourced technology management services.
Carol's professional services background includes managing the Associate and Research Associate staff for the Chicago Office of Heidrick & Struggles, and additional HR solutions marketing experience with London House (now Pearson Performance Solutions). Carol also spent several years in corporate sales and marketing at Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
Carol holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Western Illinois University.
John Rook
Controller
John Rook joined Synch-Solutions in 2005. Prior to this, he worked as the Senior Vice President of Finance at Triad Foods Group, where he was responsible for managing all the accounting and financial functions of the organization, as well as for all of the information technology throughout the organization.
Prior to joining Triad Foods, John served as Vice President of Administration at the Donlen Corporation, where he managed all the functions of the administration staff and managed the credit and collections of the entire organization. He also helped design and implement a new billing system and managed the IS department.
John has more than 26 years of experience in the areas of finance and accounting. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western Illinois University and has been a member of the Illinois CPA Society since 1979.
